‘Air That I Breathe’ opening event 3rd September

Book your free ticket for ‘Air That I Breathe’ exhibition opening event.

6-9pm Thursday 3rd September at Firepit Gallery, 10 Cutter Lane, Ground Floor Retail Unit, North Greenwich, London SE10 0XX

Join us for the opening evening of ‘Air That I Breathe’, a powerful exhibition curated by Dr Rosamund Adoo-Kissi-Debrah CBE, founder of the Ella Roberta Foundation and one of the UK’s leading campaigners for clean air and public health.

‘Air That I Breathe’ brings together a body of artwork donated to Rosamund and the Ella Roberta Foundation over the past ten years by artists who have been moved by the story of Rosamund’s daughter, Ella.

Ella died in 2013, aged just nine, following a severe asthma attack. In a landmark second inquest, she became the first person in the UK, and the world, to have air pollution listed as a cause of death on her death certificate.

Since Ella’s death, Rosamund has campaigned tirelessly to improve air quality and protect public health. Through this exhibition, she uses art to make the invisible visible, helping people to understand the impact of air pollution on our health, our communities and the environment.

The opening evening is an opportunity to see the exhibition, meet Rosamund and learn more about the campaign for cleaner air.

We would be delighted if you could join us for this special event.

Admission is free, but please register to attend: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/air-that-i-breathe-opening-night-tickets-1998356216237?aff=oddtdtcreator
